BSE holds and build relationships with networks of activists and organizers, communities, policy-makers, academics and others. Particular research projects emerge from these relationships, some of which are described here, and others are conducted through BSE coursework.  Many of these projects are community-based and participatory. Sometimes these projects are faculty led, and sometimes student led. Sometimes these projects are more ethnographic, theoretical, or academic; sometimes they are more immediately practical or instrumental.
